Dimensional Letters & Signs
Our Non-Illuminated Letters & Signs Portfolio
Add Depth to Your Brand
Dimensional letters are individually cut 3D letters or logos mounted to walls, buildings, or panels. Unlike flat vinyl or printed signs, they have real physical depth that catches light and casts shadows throughout the day.
No internal illumination needed. These signs rely on quality materials and craftsmanship to make an impression. They work just as well on a building exterior as they do in a lobby, and they give your brand a presence that flat signage simply can’t match.
Materials that make the difference.
The material you choose changes the entire feel of the sign. Here are the most common options we work with:
Aluminum — The go-to for exterior building identification. Flat-cut or fabricated, paintable to any colour, and built to handle Victoria’s coastal weather for 10 to 15+ years.
Stainless Steel & Brushed Metal — Premium and modern. Available in brushed, polished, or powder-coated finishes. A favourite for corporate offices, hotels, and upscale retail. Excellent for both interior and exterior use.
Acrylic — Glossy, modern, and available in a wide range of colours and finishes. Can be clear, frosted, or opaque. Best suited for interior lobby signs and reception areas where it stays protected from the elements.
PVC / Sintra — Budget-friendly with clean cuts and a smooth finish. Lightweight and easy to install. Works well for interior signage and shorter-term exterior applications.
Wood — Warm, natural, and hand-crafted. Popular for rustic branding, restaurants, breweries, and heritage-style buildings. Best for interior use or protected exterior locations with proper sealing.
Lobby Signs that set the tone.
Your reception area is the first interior space clients and visitors experience. Dimensional letters on the wall behind the front desk instantly communicate that your business is established and professional.
Beyond reception branding, dimensional letters work for tenant directories, conference room identification, inspirational quotes, and address numbers. Popular with offices, medical clinics, hotels, real estate agencies, and schools.
Compared to flat vinyl lettering, dimensional letters add depth and shadow that changes with the lighting throughout the day. It’s a noticeable upgrade that visitors pick up on, even if they can’t quite put their finger on why the space feels more polished.
Mounting Options that change the look.
How letters are mounted to the wall matters almost as much as the letters themselves. The mounting method changes the entire feel of the sign.
Stud-mounted (flush to wall) — Threaded metal studs on the back of each letter go into pre-drilled holes. Letters sit tight against the surface. Clean, sturdy, and the most common method for both interior and exterior.
Pin-mounted with standoffs — Letters are held off the wall by small metal spacers, creating a gap that casts shadows behind each letter. The floating effect looks modern and premium. Great for lobbies and feature walls.
Adhesive (direct bond) — Letters attached with industrial adhesive tape or silicone. No hardware visible at all. Best for smooth interior walls and lighter materials like acrylic and PVC.
Many businesses start with non-illuminated dimensional letters and add lighting later, or simply use external spotlights for nighttime visibility.
