The Sign Pad is a custom sign and vehicle wrap business based in Victoria, British Columbia. Our website is https://thesignpad.com. This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and follow up on a potential project.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics tools may collect technical information like your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is standard for any website and helps us understand which content is useful and ensure the site runs well.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. If you do not want to be tracked, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on or use your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our contact form to prevent spam. Turnstile is a privacy-friendly alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs and does not track you across the web.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:

- Send project updates, quotes, and invoices once you become a client
- Improve our website and services based on aggregated usage data
- Comply with legal obligations such as keeping records for tax purposes
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers we use to run our business, such as our website host, email provider, accounting software, and printing partners. These providers are contractually bound to handle your data responsibly and only use it to provide services to us.
If we are ever required by law to share information (for example, by court order), we will do so only to the extent required.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as we may need them for a follow-up or active project, and then we delete them. Records related to actual projects (invoices, project files, communications) are kept for the periods required by Canadian tax and business law, typically 7 years.

- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)

Children
Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.
